An investigation by shipyard owner SembCorp Marine finds a braking system failure on one of the movable legs was the cause of Monday’s jack-up tilt that injured 89 workers. The rig involved in the incident was identified as the Noble 1 by contractor National Oilwell Varco (NOV), which had workers on board at the time.
