Two months into 2011, with the S&P 500 up 5.53% so far, the energy sector (XLE) is up the most at 14.59%, with sector stocks LNG, FXEN, ALJ, DWSN, FTO, DK, DPTR, WNR and IO each gaining more than 50%. Industrials, tech and financials have outperformed the market but are well behind energy.

    How long can the ride last? How about 100 years. 200 years. As long as you like.

     

    It is however a ride, complete with dips and bumps and occasional long slopes.
