Google (GOOG) has given its iOS apps and services a big overhaul today. 1) Google's ad-supporting YouTube app, launched in September after its iOS deal with Apple ended, has finally become iPad-friendly. YouTube's mobile traffic has been skyrocketing. 2) The Gmail app has received an overdue facelift: it now supports multiple accounts, attachments, and several other features. 3) Google's iPad search results now include a horizontal "carousel" providing info on local points of interest. Yelp (YELP), which depends heavily on Google traffic, is arguably in the crosshairs.
