The headaches for Boeing (BA) over its 787 continue, with the FAA set to issue the first airworthiness directive for the Dreamliner since it entered service last year. The FAA will say that the jets need to be inspected after fuel leaks on two planes were traced to production mistakes. Meanwhile, a United Airlines (UAL) 787 has made an emergency landing in New Orleans following an undefined mechanical problem.

The 787 has two problems in the last 2 months fuel line workmenship problems
    2. United’s 787 lost one of six power units on Tuesday flight

The United aircraft in question is line number 50 that was assemble in Everett by the IAM

not by south caroline, MDC, the Chicago management, or vendor or supplier
but by IAM and planning and engineering by Speea

Installing engines, fuel lines, Wiggins fuel line connectors , installing o-ring, tightening fuels connectors and lock wire is aircraft 101 that been around since the 707 dating back to 1958 or the Wright brother of 1903
    "lefty-loosey, righty-tighty"

The FAA and Boeing need to go to ship recorder and review the Mechanic and Inspector buy off stamps and take correction action by remove these people or sent then back to school!

But the FAA has fine Boeing in the past see Seattle Times history file

What happen to the preflight inspection and the post flight inspections of these aircrafts for each flight before delivery to the airline?
After 3.5 years the Boeing 787 continue to be in the news with cancellations, workmanship issues, problems and late delivery only 38 787 has been delivery
Certainly we would prefer not to have workmanship issues,” said Boeing spokeswoman Lori Gunter.
In the past the 737-700 had problems but the 777 only had a few problems
New aircraft get there FAA type certify when is passes all its flight test and deign requirement

Well Boeing has building aircraft since 1916 may be its time to replace the lazy-B in seattle with the 35,000 Defense and Space workers that being lay off
