Likely a further blow to crude shipments, Morgan Stanley (MS) ceases oil trading with Libya. Additionally, Exxon (XOM), Marathon Oil (MRO), and Conoco (COP) have either cut off or greatly reduced dealings in order to comply with U.S. sanctions. OIL +0.3%.

    Major US oil companies have halted trade with Libya and big banks have started to pull back from funding such deals because of US sanctions, in moves that will further disrupt oil flows from the torn country.
