  • Interesting developments may be occurring outside public view concerning a NATO limited intervention in the Libyan civil war. Britain and France are pressing for NATO to establish a no-fly-zone over Libyan air space, the US is supporting that initiative but taking care not to be saddled with the lead and burden such a lead would entail, Germany and other member States are rhetorically supporting opposition to the brutality of the Moammar Gadhafi regime but, in practical terms are taking a wait-and-see attitude and Turkey (which many forget is a NATO member State) may be the most interesting and key NATO member in this matter. The following articles illustrate the forgoing.
