AT&T will cap data usage for its internet customers, and will charge anyone who goes over the limit starting May 2. The new limits come as service providers try to manage users' ever-growing demand for high-bandwidth applications.

    This is the first shot over the bow for coming metered-rated charges for all data usage in Internet and cellular. Once everybody's "hooked," the cow starts to get milked.

    Almost guaranteed that ATT would not impose any restrictions on their major revenue producers like NFLX because it knows its NFLX members are the reason for ATT streaming profits.

    This is what happens when Net Neutrality looms. Because traffic shaping based on protocol would be banned under Net Neutrality, this means that service providers will be imposing caps on 100%, rather than throttling the 2% of abusive users. Go go government intrusive regulation!
