Does this mean the mascot continues with a Gottfried impersonation voice or (tasteless joke coming) is this a dead duck?

If it doesn't make you money, then it does not matter. Yeah, whatever, go hang around with your buddies Cramer, Kudlow, et al. Go pinch a penny until it hurts. Asshole.

wasn't Gilbert Gottfried the main reason to avoid investing in Aflac up until this point ??

Considering Aflac's exposure to the Japanese market, Gottried should have been more sensitive.

I was suprised AFL did not drop more....75% of their revenues comes from Japan...I think the Japanese will be spending their money on other things for the next few years...

Gottfried was a "duck impersonator," but if Aflac doesn't find another "Gottfried impersonator" (i.e., distinctive voice), and they kill that Aflac duck, then, this will be the dumbest move since "New Coke." For Aflac, it would be equivalent to killing Mickey Mouse.
