YPF is in talks to form a partnership with Norway's Statoil (STO) to develop YPF's shale reserves, FT reports. YPF plans to invest more than $30B in the next five years to develop Argentina's huge shale oil and gas reserves, third largest in the world after the U.S. and China. YPF is already close to to signing deals with Chevron and Bridas Corp.

    Maybe the president of Argentina who is doing all this will get cancer like her buddy Hugo Chavez and be replaced by a capitalist. We can hope. I am long YPF. Bought when it was still a good stock.
