German investors are much more bullish than expected, with the ZEW economic expectations index rising to 6.9 from -15.7 in November and slaying consensus of -11.3. The current-conditions index rose to 5.7 from 5.4. "Germany will not have to face a recession," says ZEW President Wolfgang Franz, unless "the crises in the eurozone do not deepen once again."
