Delta Air Lines (DAL) will reportedly pay $300-500M for Singapore Airlines' 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic, well below the £600M ($966M) that Singapore shelled out when it acquired the holding in 1999. Meanwhile, Richard Branson bets Willie Walsh £1M that the Virgin Atlantic brand will still exist in five years after the British Airways chief says it won't if Delta buys the stake. Walsh says he'd rather bet a knee in the groin.

Regards "knee in the groin" gotta love the Brits and their ferocity. I hear this is about slots into Heathrow. Any insight?
