88% of Facebook (FB) users voting on proposed data-sharing policy chances voted against them. But since less than 700K users voted, far below the ~300M needed for a vote to be binding, Facebook will go ahead with the changes as planned. The changes should allow Facebook to more tightly link Instagram content with its main site and apps, and perhaps also begin monetizing it.
