  • Apparently Kaddafi had a healthy respect for Western air power. Why tempt fate and thus ensure at least a partial destruction of his military capability? Rebels might have already sustained enough damage to end the revolt and ensure Kaddafi's survival.

  • This pusillanimous UN non-action is a joke and everyone knows it.

This has been the first big test of the leading Citizen of the World (also known as our commander-in-chief) and he's come through with flying colors.

It's now been established that the US doesn't intervene unilaterally, even against an odious regime led by a madman and traditional enemy of the US.

Score: UN plus one, US minus one, US ally Mubarek "vacationing" and US enemy Ghaddafy still standing. Makes you wonder.
