IMAX (IMAX +0.2%) CFO Joe Sparacio spoke today at the Wedbush 2012 California Dreamin' Consumer Management Conference highlighting the growth track the firm will pursue. In Hollywood, IMAX continue to gain traction with over 30 films this year released in the IMAX format and more major filmmakers looking to launch tentpole films for the large screen. The key to expansion is the "rev-share" model which reduces capital cost for partners and creates a 80%-20% split for the box office. The IRR from the model is so lush, it sounds as if the company will push a good portion of its cash flow into new deals. (webcast)
