Diamond Foods (DMND +3.7%) files to delay its 10-Q for the fiscal year ending October 31, 2012. After playing a bit of catch up with the statements covering 2010 and 2011, the company says it's still behind.

    Not hard to fathom. It dropped over 10% yesterday and was up as high as 5.8% earlier in trading today so some of the correction/bounce (dead cat or live depending on your take) has already been shaved off since this recent announcement.

     

    It also sounds fairly reasonable for them to not have Q1 financials so soon after finishing their Q4 for the prior year. Q2 financials should be on time, however.
