Facebook (FB) expands further into the world of gambling as it ties a up a deal with U.K.-listed 888 Holdings (EIHDF.PK) to offer real-money bingo, casinos and slot games, although not poker. The partnership follows Facebook introducing a bingo app with Gamesys in August. 888, meanwhile, says that its "Facebook freemium (play-for-fun) offerings have found a significant audience."

This should scare off a lot of potential punters, as it rather tarnishes their hitherto "goody goody" image! As for earnings, are FB planning on taking the house's cut, or on more ad revenue? Personally, I don't expect anyone playing for either money or fun are going to have much attention left over for adverts!

My initial impression is disbelief; I think this will turn out to have been a very bad move.

There is nothing FB won't look at for now to bring in revenue. Seems like they are heeding to the "street's" wishes.
