Yep, a lot of those folks held all the way down from those July highs at $18, and they would consider themselves lucky if the stock gained back half of its faded glory. They've been licking their wounds for so long that their skin has started to grow mold and is rotting off its bones.

Finally, Synacor is promoting itself. They are continuing to hire engineers, which is usually a good sign. I agree, they were the victim of a small float stock promotion, but they are a solid company with cash in the bank, increasing revenues, and a growing customer base. It will be interesting to see if they can generate some patents around their Carbyn platform, especially where it comes to mobile advertising opportunities.

It looks to me like the short sellers have been trying to undermine NIA's promotion and credibility but the fundamentals of SYNC are strong and the stock will eventually reflect it. This Lenovo deal is the first big example and when the Carbyn platform gets announced it will bring in newer buyers and force the shorts to cover. Then SYNC will surge.

I have lost a lot of money on penny stock promotions...and I'm 73 years old.
