The coastal oil town of Ras Launuf changes hands again as the Libyan rebels retreat from the city under heavy attack from Gadaffi's forces. Though the UN resolution does not call for it, providing arms to the rebels (and possibly al Qaeda) has not been ruled out according to U.K. PM Cameron.

There was a report that the rebels "gave" al Qaeda surface-to-air missles found in an armory that was captured from Libyan gov't forces. These SAMs were supposedly taken to neighboring Chad.

Be careful what you wish for.

With a govn like ours, who needs enemies? We send our young men to die in Iraq to fight the perpetrators of Sept. 11. Now we turn around and help arm them in Libya. Egypt has voted in Sharia Law incompatible with Democracy.

Yet our mainstream media never tells the public who these rebels are and keep harping on democracy as the revolution's goal. Meanwhile our pres justifies bypassing our Congress because thousands were going to be slaughtered - how about the thousands of Christians slaughtered in the Sudan by the Muslims, or the thousands being slaughtered in Egypt, Iraq and Ethiopia?
