In all the frenzy over the Nasdaq-ICE (NDAQ +9.2%; ICE -3.1%) bid for NYSE Euronext (NYX +12.6%), it looks like the CBOE (CBOE -5%) may get left out of the party. "We believe recent exchange deal activity has left a dearth of potential buyers for CBOE, which should result in the takeout premium fading from the stock," Evercore Partners says in a report.

    Funny how the scramble to keep the NYSE an American exchange occurs after the floor traders figure out they won't have a job after the German's take over. All electronic over there, no need for floor traders.
