In spite of the company's woes, CNET's Roger Cheng found a sense of optimism at Nokia (NOK +6.3%) Finnish HQ during a visit - that's a far cry from what The Global Post reported during a 2011 visit, where employees speculated whether Stephen Elop is a Microsoft mole. This time, some praised Elop for cutting down on the bureaucracy blamed in part for Nokia's stumbles. "You needed approvals from 150 people to get something done, and any one person can stop something," said one ex-employee. (Elop comments)

The guy lied in his story. He claimed a person went into the Nokia store in downtown Helsinki, asking to buy a pair of apple headphones for his iPhone. The person working at Nokia's flagship store directed them, according to Roger Cheng, to the local Apple store. However, Apple has ZERO stores in Helsinki, Finland, according to their website.

This type of BS making up tidbits to make Nokia look horrible and Apple look superior is ridiculous.

I don't see why he would have been lying. There are several dedicated Apple retailers in Helsinki. One almost facing the Nokia store. These are easily called as "Apple stores".

Ampion: A 3-second bling search turned this up. Also, how did the Nokia employee's kind helpfulness to a stranger make Nokia look bad?

Today Apple opened its first store in Finland. Its name isn't Apple Store really, they like to call it Apple Shop. It's designed by Apple and it's located in Helsinki

This is a poor excuse for a story; Very unobjective. Does Roger base all his investing decisions on 'a sense of optimism' at a headquarters?

LUMIA 920, best phone out there! Truly a state of the art device

    Sold out everywhere!

Its camera (PUREVIEW), city lens, maps, super sensitive screen, resolution, its image stabilization, low light performance, wireless charging, etc makes it just fabulous!

The Independent UK calls the Nokia Lumia 920 “probably the most
    advanced smartphone on the market”.

PhoneArena just chose Nokia´s PureView camera technology in phones as
the best innovation of the year. Also Lumia 920 belongs to the best
    product designs of the year.

Lumia 920 won Gizmodo Australia’s Mobile Phone of the Year 2012 People’s Choice Award.

"In the past, Nokia has had good intentions to meet our needs, but they never quite delivered up to our expectations," says Ralph de la Vega, head of AT&T's mobility unit. "What I notice with Stephen [Elop] is he has the capability to make things happen."

And yet some people (NOK short sellers!?) want to see Elop fired. What a bunch of lunatics.

Excuse me sir amphibion, but you might want to get your facts straight.

Granted its not "Apple" but an independent company that is authorized by Apple to represent them. Their store is like roughly... across the street from Nokia flagship store.
