The Nikkei finishes above 10,000 for the first time since April as the yen falls again ahead of a BOJ policy decision tomorrow, when the bank is expected to bow to calls from incoming PM Shinzo Abe to ease policy further. Other Asian and European bourses continue to rise on hopes for a deal on the fiscal cliff in the U.S. Japan +2.4%, Hong Kong +0.6%, China flat, India +0.6%. EU Stoxx 50 +0.6%, London +0.4%, Paris +0.5%, Frankfurt +0.2%, Milan +0.8%, Madrid +1.6%.
