More on Darden Restaurants' (DRI) FQ2: Negative same-restaurant sales growth is seen at Longhorn Steakhouse, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden which offsets in part the extra revenue from the 46 net new restaurants in the system. Hurricane Sandy was a factor during the quarter with 475 days of restaurant closures attributed to the widespread storm. For FY13, Darden sees total sales growth of 7.5%-8.5% and EPS of $3.29-$3.49.
