John Dorfman's "30-30 club" - 30% return on stockholders’ equity in its latest fiscal year, 30% average annual earnings growth over the past five years - contains 22 stocks. He wouldn't buy 'em all, but he likes these five: TXN, CLF, ARLP, NEU, CACC.

    Those are pretty rare attributes, particularly in combination.

     

    Which is why there aren't many stocks, at least not enough to fill out a whole portfolio.

     

    A few of them (if well chosen) could spice up returns. But then you need to fill out your portfolio with more pedestrian issues.
