Oil drilling rigs in the U.S. dropped by the most in a single week in 20 years, according to the latest weekly rig count from Baker Hughes (BHI), dropping by 41 to 1,340, the lowest level since April. Total U.S. rigs dipped by 25 to 1,774 vs. 2,008 in the year-ago period. The drop could stem from generally falling crude prices as the outlook for energy consumption next year slides.
