A U.S. judge on Friday gave final approval to BP's settlement with individuals and businesses who lost money and property in the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. BP has estimated it will pay $7.8B to settle more than 100K claims. The order does not address a separate medical benefits settlement for cleanup workers who say the spill made them sick.

These claims should be handled by their employer as workmen comp! I guess they will get a better deal with a law suit?

I guess these workers want cash and free medical for life. If there is fraud found with their claims, than they should have to repay the monies and placed on community service. We all know what is going on here. Get lawyers involved and sit back and watch the real crooks at work.
