PCs are not going anywhere. Tablets are good to carry when you are away from the PC. Tablets will replace smart phones but not PCs.

It is worthwhile to note that one literally CANNOT activate, upgrade, or synchronize an iPad without a Mac or a PC present.

Tablets may cannibalize laptop sales, and certainly netbook sales, but every household with a tablet will have at least one Mac or PC as well.

PC are for producing content, tablets and mobile phones are for consuming content.
