Revett Minerals (RVM -0.7%) says data collected over the past two weeks suggests ground conditions at its Troy mine in Montana have stabilized, and it’s working to complete inspections but can't yet give a firm date when operations will resume. Operations have been halted since mid-December due to unstable ground conditions in non-active mining areas.

If you look at the financials for RVM I think you will conclude that the stock is significantly undervalued. Also, the company indicated that they expect to resume operations at the Troy mine "soon." The real issue is not the short-term shutdown, rather, be interested in the financial status of the company at the end of 2013. Also consider the possibility of an impaired economy which may have a negative impact on the price of copper and a positive impact on the price of silver.
