Subaru (SBUOF.PK) plans to lift its production capacity in the U.S. by 30% in a move that follows the trend of other Japanese automakers to shift domestic manufacturing out of Japan. The company expects to sell at least 350K in the U.S. this year.

If Subaru brought to the USA its Diesel Engine that they offer in other parts of the Globe they would sell 500k units. A diesel in the new Forester would be a category killer to other SUVS.
