Rite Aid (RAD) reports a 2.2% decline in same-store sales for December with the holiday calendar shift accounting for 1.1 percentage points of the drop. The prescription count at comparable stores rose 4.4% Y/Y during the month with the flu season getting off to a late start.

    The next quarter should be another good one, and it true December would be a slow month for Rite Aid , most people dont shop for Christmas gifts and food at a convience store or a pharmacy.

     

    With Valentines coming up they will probably sell all of their Valentines candy and cards.
