Booming prices for peanuts could send peanut butter to its highest level in 25 years, but still not high enough to keep profit margins from getting squeezed at J.M. Smucker (SJM), which has recently suspended production of several versions of its Jiffy products. Peanuts are a significant part of Hershey's (HSY) costs as well.
