Sonus (SONS +2.6%) finished the day higher, and Acme Packet (APKT -5.1%) lower, after Northland's Catharine Trebnick reported Verizon is deploying Sonus' session border controllers (SBCs) on the New York-Boston segment of its IP backbone. Acme, the SBC market's top vendor, has long counted Verizon as a major customer.
