Illumina (ILMN -1%) takes its cue and trades lower on a downgrade at Wedbush to Neutral, despite an upgrade by Piper Jaffray earlier in the day. Wedbush says it's chatted with several typical sequencing customers recently that are either putting off or second guessing HiSeq purchases due to rumors of units coming for sale on the secondary market at steep discounts. Piper on the other hand raised its rating to Overweight, noting that its sees next-gen sequencing share gains for ILMN, with its HiSeq installed base increasing by 13.2% Y/Y and MiSeq growing by 101.4%.
