there evaluations are associated with the business models of the 1999 bubble. Hello ... it is 2013 ... and some expect an 18 y/o company with a market cap of over $100,000,000,000 to show PROFIT, not just costly growth.

Heck, even the CEO and the CFO are selling as if there is no tomorrow - who will be the bagholders when SCAMazon crashes back to earth?

disclaimer: i am short AMZN, willing to take any short/mid-term price fluctuations often manipulated by hand-wavig type "analysis".

This is the classic market manipulation by the big boys, also known as Pump 'n Dump. When Amazon rises, Amazon sells shares, lots of them! When it tanks, Amazon purchases shares, lots of them.

Buy low, sell high (WITH THE ABSOLUTE HELP OF THE BIG FIRMS)--come on now folks, are you that naive?

Please provide some evidence of this statement-> "When Amazon rises, Amazon sells shares, lots of them! When it tanks, Amazon purchases shares, lots of them."
I am a bear on AMZN based on valuation, but don't believe anyone's case is helped by such unsubstantiated conspiracy theories. Who are these so-called market manipulators and what shares are they buying and when? If you're referring to hedge funds, maybe so, maybe not. As for the upgrades, these analysts have well thought out rationales for their bullishness. I tend to think their prognostications of eventual profitability are wrong, but this is the Mother of All Waiting Games. In the meantime, if you're going to claim "Pump 'n Dump", show some evidence of it.
