T-Mobile USA (DTEGY.PK) will begin selling the iPhone and eliminating smartphone subsidies in 3-4 months, CEO John Legere tells Reuters. That's close to when the MetroPCS (PCS) merger is expected to close. The iPhone's hefty unsubsidized prices will limit sales, but the aggressive service pricing enabled by a lack of subsidies could reel in some buyers. On that note, T-Mobile is now offering contract-free unlimited 4G data. The carrier also says its LTE network will cover 100M people by mid-2013.
