Someone on this board said F would double the dividend and a lot of "experts" jumped on him with both feet. Who was the guy that stated that fact? I'm looking at old comments trying to find him so I can congratulate him.

Will freely admit that this Dividend announcement was highly unexpected, as Ford has been insisting for the last year or so that they mean to maintain steady, conservative dividend payments, through good times and bad. They reportedly wanted to avoid, at all cost, having to reduce or stop the quarterly dividends again in a down year.

Kudos to several commentators that called it.

A 40 cent dividend will cost Ford about $1.6B a year, so they must be absolutely swimming in cash right now, with no better place to put it.

    Amazing!

(and how's that for a "spin")

Yes' that is VERY nice. The 7.5 to 4.75 bond note was nice also. I was worried about the whole warrant thing, but some one helped me on that. When every one was selling F ,I picked up some more. New taxes on the electric cars didn't put to much of a hamper on F, and China's urban transit didn't hurt F to much either. I am long F for a multitude of reasons. The debt ceiling is coming up so I will sit and wait to add some more. I am long MGM for their bond/note offering also. I am wondering if CM would like to cover that. It is good news on F.
