There is absolutely no reason for SA to use link shorteners in their links. Please stop this nonsense.

EDIT: Here is the link that shortened crap is pointing to:

Also, please get your developers to figure out how to manage this shit-pile of a CMS. Needing to refresh an entire page in order to add a single item to it is unnecessary in the age of AJAX technology. Great info on the site, but the technology here is crap.

    Hi catamount,

Thanks for the feedback. We generally don't use link-shorteners except with very unwieldly links, which we've heard from some mobile users messes things up for them.

The MC column should AJAX refresh every 10 seconds.

Hoffman: Thanks for the gracious reply in spite of my uncivil commentary (bad morning). I appreciate the issues you are dealing with WRT various user agents. However, my browser (chromium v9 derivative) completely reloads the MC page (which I believe is unecessay) rather than simply adding a new item. FriendFeed had this technology nailed 2 years ago, and when Facebook acquired them, they open sourced the Tornado webserver (it's non-blocking).
