The nation's nasty flu season has created a sudden surge in demand for the vaccine, leaving some sites across the country falling short. Sanofi (SNY) - which provides about half of the flu vaccine in the U.S. - say's it's already sold out of four of its six formulations of its Fluzone vaccine due to late-season demand. As of January 4, more than 128M doses had been distributed out of 135M produced for this season. As of November, 112M people had received shots, but that number is likely to have risen sharply.
