More on hhgregg's (HGG) sales report: The company notes declining demand for flat screen TVs and a broadened distribution channel for large-screen TVs cut into store traffic and sales. As a result, the retailer's video category saw sales tail off 24.6% Y/Y. HGG -6.0% premarket.

    TV tech hasn't made any huge leaps in a decade, and they last almost 10 years if you don't abuse them... TV producers golden age is over in my opinion...

    I guess that's why they started selling treadmills and lounge chairs.
    At least they don't need as knowledgeable a sale force for these.
    Their claims of expert staffing for consummer electronics is a joke.
    I should know, I'm a former employee.

    the first time I ever went into HHGregg I was really surprised at all the exercise equipment... the store is a mix mash of dicks sporting goods and best buy... I'm not sure why people even go there.
