Market preview: U.S. stock futures are lower while Europe turns almost uniformly red as the German economy sliding into contraction and fears about the debt ceiling, and possibly a mixed U.S. data dump (I, II, III), keep markets down in the dumps. The S&P benchmark is -0.3%. Dell is +3.7% and adds to yesterday's sharp gains on speculation it's in talks to go private, while RBS slides 3.3% after a report it will have to pony up £500M over Libor.
