Carl Icahn, in becoming a top Transocean (RIG -0.5%) shareholder, may seek to resume dividends or push toward restructuring the company as an MLP, but analysts doubt either will be achieved this year. A dividend isn't likely to be added as long as Macondo issues aren't yet fully resolved, and it is unclear how RIG would fare through a complete drilling cycle in an MLP structure.
