Chevron (NYSE:CVX), looking to grow in the Asia-Pacific region, enters into production-sharing contracts with Cnooc (NYSE:CEO) for two shallow water exploration blocks in the South China Sea, in which CVX will hold a 100% interest in blocks 15/10 and 15/28 in the Pearl River Mouth Basin. The blocks cover a total area of ~2,233 sq. miles.
