Agree with Thanos. Hoping for 10-20 years having this and several other MLPs pay us well to own them.

KMI upped their dividend by 1 cent, from 36 cents paid in December to 37 cents to be paid February 15th...I'm underwhelmed by the language of the press release.

    It's almost 11% increase when annualized (10.8%).

No, the annualized increase is .04/1.44 or 2.77% as stated.
The .04 is the annual increase and 1.44 the current annual dividend.

2.7% for the qtr, IF KMI holds to past increases practice the yearly will be much higher. Observe KMI has increased the div every qtr since q4 2011. Not a certainty but a nice indicator:)

Blue -- You make a good point.

KMI has increased the divi as follows:
    2008: Twice
    2009: 0
    2010: Three
    2011: Four
    2012: Three
    2013: Once to date
