Europe, Japan and India have joined the FAA in indefinitely grounding Boeing's (BA) 787 jet until its battery problems have been resolved, with fears surfacing that the issue could require a redesign of electrical systems and that the production of the planes could be delayed. Still, Boeing, which has won orders for 850 Dreamliners, isn't expected to receive cancellations. Meanwhile, the FAA review of the plane could give the SPEEA engineers union leverage in contract negotiations.
