It all depends on the outlook and if any gains in the mobile chip market by Intel.

Oh, I spoke too soon! Now it's down, but only about $0.14 or so, as of the snapshot I just took. That's actually fairly typical of INTC after they report earnings, regardless of how well they do or don't do... :-)

I think EPS is not what we should look for Intel atm
Revenue is way more important (shows how they can offset falling PC demand). Missing by 50M and -3% Y/Y is not that bad, but still...

The stock sure took a hit this morning, falling nearly 6 percent from yesterday. It'll bounce though - I'm sure the world's largest manufacturer of microprocessors has to have some leverage in the market. Plus they invest much more on R&D than any of their competitors. If they can develop a better product than ARM or Qualcomm, smartphone manufactuers will automatically migrate towards their chips.. let's just hope they come out with something sooner rather than later.

I say it'll bounce right back. Intel spends loans more on R&D than any of their competitors. I'm sure being the world's largest micro processor company in the world gives them some leverage over others, especially when it comes to economies of scale.
