MOEX Offshore (MITSY.PK), one of BP's (BP) minority partners in the Deepwater Horizon well, agrees to pay BP $1.065B to settle all claims between the companies over the accident. BP said the money will go into its $20B compensation fund. In London, BP +3.1%.

    As a shareholder in BP, I'm happy MOEX is paying up. From what I've read, though, they tried to get out of it. Now they've changed after the Presidential Commission said they were responsible. Capitalism too often disregards ethics. Greed trumps doing the right thing.
