The Department of Justice files an antitrust lawsuit to stop H&R Block (HRB -2.1%) from buying do-it-yourself tax preparation software provider TaxACT, saying the deal would "substantially reduce competition" and result in "higher prices and a reduction in innovation and quality." HRB had agreed to purchase TaxACT maker 2SS Holdings for $287M in October 2010.

Why? It does not take much time to designed new tax software. Department of Justice should file the law suit against congress to get rid of complicated tax code. Make it simple, so I do not need the tax software. AMT is such killer.

Why is The justice Department all of a sudden interested in doing anything at All. Did They cut down to size all Ginormous Banks before the 2008 Financial meltdown. And still will not go after in what my opinion are Mafioso's who make laws for themselves; laws to protect and continue degrading our now corrupt banking system. These very foundation are now affecting how we all live. There are too many indicators that point to an accelerating demise of the USA. The justice Department dept is no dept at all it's just a name. A Powerless, toothless institution, And misguided as a tooth Fairy at best. Don't expect any justice soon..Maybe not ever.! That's`just my opinion.
