Nathan's Famous (NATH) has reduced its share count by nearly a third, says Mario Gabelli (Barron's Roundtable earlier), and has a deal for Smithfield Foods to begin marketing its products next year. Earnings are poised to more than double by 2015. Staying in hot dogs/sausages, Gabelli eyes another spinoff - Hillshire Brands (HSH) - with management getting back to basics and the company surely remaining an acquisition target.
