Wal-Mart (WMT) says it plans a large $450M investment to its operations in Canada, including new stores and an expansion of its distribution network in Canada. The company wants to complete 38 new supercenter projects in the country this fiscal year to add to the 209 already in operation.

    If memory serves me correctly, that should be about 3.3% of the Company's capital expenditures for the year. Some time ago Target announced a huge Canadian campaign. Looks like retail landscape in Canada is in for quite a change. There will be at least two competitors.
