IBM (IBM +0.3%) is barely moving ahead of today's Q4 report. Shares have largely gone sideways after slumping in October thanks to a big Q3 revenue miss, Deutsche's Chris Whitmore predicts hardware sales will rise 1% Y/Y after falling 13% in Q3, thanks to refreshes to Big Blue's Power7 and PureSystems server lines. Software is seen growing 4.5% (-1% in Q3), but services bookings are a worry following a dearth of high-profile deal announcements. Outsourcing rival Infosys recently delivered a strong FQ3 report.
