"It’s a little alarming that Nokia’s device volume in Latin America grew by +3% sequentially, while sales slid by -9%," writes long-time Nokia (NOK -8.2%) follower Tero Kutittinen. While Q4 sales to Europe and the U.S grew, sales to many emerging markets fell in spite of solid Asha volumes. That could spell trouble for Nokia's feature phone sales as Android continues moving downmarket. Needham upgraded Nokia to Buy today, but shares weren't affected much. (more on Nokia) (transcript)

    I respect Needham's upgrade. Should turn stock around after cutting the dividend.

    Yes, this does bother me - Nokia's Goodwill in the developing markets is the base of my confidence in the company. Alarmed, let's see what Q1 in China does - it better be encouraging!

    My guess is that the way NOK's stock will turn around is through a reverse split. Ugh.
